Finally, I've finished all the install sequences, also, eliminated the need for activating.
I will be offering ICQ support for a very limited time to new free version installs, since I don't have a chance to test every circumstance possible, so hopefully nobody will hesitate to contact me or post in support part of the forum, which is very encouraged.
Ok, without further ado,
download tmanager.rar at http://www.thumbmanager.com/free/tmanager.rar , read install.txt in the package and install :)
update - all who downloaded the script before this edit - download it again. It contains some bugfixes for files admin.php and run.php - so if you already installed your script just upload the mentioned files over.
update #2 - and again some bugfixes.
changed files - admin.php, image.inc.php and refconv.inc.php.
update #3 - all who downloaded 2.11.4 yesterday, are encouraged to download 2.11.5 today. not only it includes nice bugfix for ccbill galleries, but also a system for warning you about available updates. if you want to do an update, changed files are refconv.inc.php, admin.php, trotate.inc.php, image.inc.php

INSTALL
Requirements.
1. PHP 4.2.1 or higher
2. Zend Optimizer
3. GDlib with jpeg support compiled in php
4. Imagemagick 6+ (optional and highly recomended)
5. php must not be running in safe mode.
Install procedure.
1. download installation package.
2. unzip it to a folder on your hard drive.
3. upload all files. VERY IMPORTANT! PHP files must be uploaded in BINARY mode!
4. chmod
./tmanager/
./tmanager/data/
./tmanager/temp/
./tthumbs/
to 777
5. chmod
./tmanager/full_img.cfg
./tmanager/img.cfg
./tmanager/lastcfg.cfg
./tmanager/trotate.inc.php
to 666
6. run http://www.yourdomain.com/install.php
7. if no errors occur, go to http://www.thumbmanager.com/register/register.php and register your free license.
You will receive an email like "Your license code is e3190ce816a66e10c4664fb9df00f071. Thanks for choosing TManager!"
The license code is e3190ce816a66e10c4664fb9df00f071 in this case. Of course, replace it with your own, from your email.
8. you must remove install.php now for security reasons.
9. edit tmanager/license.ini and insert the license code you received in it. It must be on the first line, and no other characters must be present.
10. go to http://www.yourdomain.com/tmanager/admin.php, and enjoy.

This version doesn't require any activisation from our side.
Instead, you should use admin panel -> maintenance -> force mainpage. Once everything is fine, you can put in your cron something like
*/2 * * * * /usr/bin/wget http://www.yourdomain.com/tmanager/run.php
or, for freebsd (where wget isn't installed by default)
*/2 * * * * /usr/bin/fetch http://www.yourdomain.com/tmanager/run.php
anyhow, contact your sysadmin for this if not sure. Don't run run.php from cron with php CLI (command line interface) as your own user - the permissions are only tested with apache user.

UPGRADING
Well, upgrading from previous versions to this one is not that easy - because many things have changed.
however, this can be done. the procedure is the same as install.
first, take a look at your settings, and write them down in case you are not sure you will be able to restore them. (however, if you have version with settings.ini in data folder, they will be imported and you should just look over them to ensure everythings right and press save settings).
Easiest is to upload and just to skip full_img.cfg, img.cfg, lastcfg.cfg, rot.cfg, license.ini. Then proceed as if you were installing a new copy.
Then, pay attention. You might want to review your outscript configuration as well - when upgrading from older versions, it may be incompatible with newer syntax, and appear as blank in your admin panel.
If you don't have tmanager/license.ini file - just register your copy and create one.
So, as you see, upgrade is not that simple. as long as you keep all the files and settings, you should be fine.
The rule is - do it as install, just keep data files. And don't forget the cron. Ah, and notify me/Andy either here or over ICQ that you've upgraded, so that we could clean up your old activisation since it's not needed any more.
good news :)

I uploaded a very important bugfix. All must download the package and if you're upgrading already installed copy, then just upload new trotate.inc.php over the old one!

yea, I hadn't announced that fact yet due to the fact that I'm extremely busy, but we've terminated autoregistration of free licenses.
If you still want it, write to support at thumbsiteboard dot com, and license will be issued to you if appropriate.
