it depends is the honest answer.
size of thumbs on your trades sites matters, not so much for niche sites though.

yea when trading with 88x88 sites you cant have big thumbs or the trade wont work.

why is that? do yuo alwyas have to trade with sites that are similar to yours?
How the hell do new styles of sites get started then?

Imagine watching tv on a big widescreen set. then someone hands you a handheld tv with a tiny screen. Which would you continue to use?

i started out with 120x160, and my site does great... then again, theres alot more room to show stuff on my thumbs, if your trade partners have 88x88 you cant fit very much into an 88x88 thumb, and the surfer that went from a nice 120x160 thumb isnt gonna be happy when the 88x88 doesnt show much....
so for me, one site has 120x160 the other is 110x150... 110x150 is pretty much the norm, i think... :2cents:

Yep, I agree, but I think that within a bunch of niche sites it can work ok, even 88*88 with 120*160

that's interesting stuff...i could see why trading with text is a really bad idea unless the thumb will give a lot of traffic to the text.

from text site to thumb site, the PROD is great (from what ive seen).. its the traffic going from thumb site to text site that isnt very good.... :2cents:

ah so it is probably like you will have good results feeding upwards to a certain limit of the size of the thumb.
text => 88x88 => 100 x 120 etc... up to the alrgeest thumb size possible.
probalby there has to be some optimal thumb size give a normal monitor resolution and size.
and wonder how man y thumbs a surfer prefers to make a selection from....

yea, youve got the idea... one good thing about the script TM3 is you can set different pages for each trade, even for your bookmarkers, no cookie traffic, no referral etc.
So in reality, I can trade with any type site. I can make a txt version of my site, and have the txt tgp's send to the txt version, I can make a page with 88x88 thumbs(although multiple copies of tmanager would probably be needed), i could even make a CJ page and trade with CJ's...

all done with the click of a button in TM3, not hard to do at all...

Anyone got some actual urls to some sites that use this feature of TM3?

Yes, I'd be interested in seeing how a iste manages to have several nice indexes of different size thumbs etc...

Yeah, thats why I asked, because although its possible to do it, I cant think of any sites that actually do.

I couldn't see somebody taking that amount of time to actually try to put all those thumbs together for one site.

those larger size thumbs make it very difficult not to click...plus the site itself looks like a gallery page.
