What's next for tmanager?

What ideas do you guys have planned for the next versions of tmanager?

I like the multi-site db idea and wondered what other stuff was coming too.

I liked the multiple thumbnail per gallery idea, so you could instantly make a gallery database of 5k into 10k by having two thumbs ofr each gallery.

well the nearest news are

1) multiple site DB
2) group support
3) also, I think I should finally rewrite that submit subsystem into something useful :D

+ some other smaller things..

but that ain't no question that should be asked in early morning :gunfire: so I will get back to this thread later :graucho:

each gallery could have 2 or more thumbs for it.
You may think one thumb is good, but it turns out surfers may like another...or to add variety once you have lots of different sites.

You may have one site that shows "faces" anothers that shows the action of the gallery etc...

As I understood it yes. The combination of Thumb Manager and trade script in the new version makes it possible to connect grouping of thumbs with grouping of trades. So if a surfer chooses to click an ebony thumb he is directed to an ebony trade. Very cool.

btw a suggestion for a new feature: Prod ranking of thumbs with different sizes. Currently I don't have automatic prod tracking on my big thumbs. I have to do it manually, which is kinda time consuming. The problem is that I only have 1 big thumb in each block of thumbs, so there are only a few big thumbs on my site which makes prod tracking a bit more difficult. I'm not sure you can use the same algorythm as with the rest of the thumbs. I also have a few moviethumbs with different size than the rest of the thumbs, so prod tracking on three diffrent sizes of thumbs would be a great help.

Nice idea. But I'd be afraid of screwing up, thinking I was editing one site when I was looking at another. Admin already scrolls in 1024*768.

lol...well when wishing you might as well wish for the best features out there. you never know when one of these features might be the thing that grows alll sites to huge.

Sure, but it would come at the cost of lots more server load I would think, KISS is my principle. But I'd love to be proved wrong.

Yeah I agree KiSS is imporatnat, but i guess i see the opportunity to brainstorm to come out with the next feature that really adds a lot to some soft as well.

What I mean is anything which can overload your server is a bad idea. Just tracking thumb clicks/trade clicks can result in a lot of load. So tracking text too would need to be written really well.

well, I believe next feature in tmanager will be free script version for % of traffic. matt is working on it hard last 2 days, will soon start beta test it.
